Samsung Galaxy VoLTE & 5G connectivity issues being looked into, temporary workaround inside
Multiple Samsung Galaxy device owners are reporting several issues related to Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and 5G connectivity in various markets across the globe.
With Samsung the dominant player in the smartphone business, it’s not strange that users from various parts of the world are experiencing similar or related issues on their devices.
Apparently, some affected devices like Galaxy M21 and Galaxy M31 tend to have intermittent VoLTE connectivity. As a result, affected users say they end up losing internet connectivity on their devices when on a voice call.
I have been observing from the past 10 days since I bought the mobile that Volte for both Sims sometimes work on Samsung M21 and sometimes not. The Volte symbol comes and goes on its own and there is nothing you can do about it. I am using the same mobile network in my home on 2 mobiles: A Samsung M21 and a Redmi Y3 but Redmi Y3 never misses on Volte Signal while Samsung M21 for most of the time lacks Volte Signal. I believe it is a Software glitch or Hardware issue with Samsung M21. So I request other Samsung M21 users to kindly confirm if same thing happens with their Samsung M21 as well or is it a problem with my unit only.
yes me too facing volte problem. I had recently bought samsung m21 , I cant use internet while on call. checked and tried every settings ,and I had contacted sim network customer care ,they said problem is with device only not with network. how to resolve this issue ?
I also noticed that during calls on the Tab S7+ 5G i loose the mobile data connection..indicating that there is no Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and no voice over 5G. Is this true?
A bunch of other users of various Samsung Galaxy devices say after recent software updates to August or September security patches, the VoLTE icon keeps disappearing.
My Samsung Galaxy A30 is having network issues. It works fine but suddenly, I can’t see Volte or LTE+. The network indicator shows all 4 bars but I can’t make calls or use internet. Only solution I’ve found is to toggle Airplane mode and after some time it happens all over again. Is there any solution for this?

Some other users on several carriers such as Reliance Jio, Airtel India, Vodafone India and even Verizon Wireless and Sprint in the U.S. are also unable to use VoLTE services on their devices for some reason.
This issue, similar to others in this article, came about after a recent software update. Prior to this update, the VoLTE function was working perfect.
For a company as big as Samsung, you’d expect such issues to be fixed in the nick of time. And indeed, through Sprint (T-Mobile Network) support, we do have updates on the current situation regarding these issues.
While acknowledging the VoLTE and 5G issues users are experiencing, support says the following:
Customers may report their device will not register/work on VoLTE. Others may state there is no VoLTE icon in the Status bar. As 5G is only available when VoLTE is working, users may also report this as a loss of 5G.
As it turns out, the loss of 5G connectivity on your device might have something to do with VoLTE, which is quite strange. But on the brighter side, Sprint has a temporary workaround ahead of the official fix.
Seeing that the matter is now under investigation, we only have to hope that it doesn’t take ages before an official fix is issued via a software update. Do let us know in your comments below.
