Overwatch : Echo banned in competitive play under Week 12 pool rotation

Whenever it comes to the
best team-based multiplayer shooting-based games, Overwatch surely picks the top five spots. The game was launched in 2016 and since then it has been running strong & has a huge community base.

The game features characters with varied abilities & they are called as Heroes. Overwatch has a roster of over 30 heroes & on April 14, Echo joined the pool of Heroes. Speaking of Echo, it comes under the Damage category.

But there is sad news for Echo mains, as this new hero has been banned from from the competitive play until April 30 . She will not be available along with Tracer, Orisa, and Moira.

This information was revealed on the Overwatch League official Twitter handle. Two heroes from Damage & one hero from Tank & Support will be out of the rotation for Week 12. Have a look at the official statement which confirms the same.

So, fans will have to wait for a week to actually see Echo on the OWL stage. But that is not stopping pro players from experimenting with her in the Ranked Play & Echo Showdown. She will be available for OWL players when Week 13 kicks off on May 1.

Speaking of Echo, she is an evolutionary robot programmed with a rapidly adapting artificial intelligence, versatile enough to fill multiple battlefield combat roles. She has six interesting abilities, including Tri-Shot, Sticky Bomb, Flight, Focusing Beam, Glide, & duplicate. Mentioned below is the list of her activities along with the description

• TRI-SHOT

Echo fires 3 shots at once, in a triangle pattern.

• STICKY BOMBS

Echo fires a volley of sticky bombs that detonates after a delay.

• FLIGHT

Echo surges forward quickly, then can fly freely.

• FOCUSING BEAM

Echo channels a beam for a few seconds, dealing very high damage to targets with less than half health

• GLIDE

Echo can glide while falling.

• DUPLICATE

Echo duplicates a targeted enemy hero and gains use of their abilities
